"O God the Holy Spirit, that which I know not, teach thou me, Keep me a humble disciple in the school of Christ...." (V of V)
Homeschooling is about the heart. Our greatest concern is the heart condition of our babies. We faithfully teach the academics but rest in the confidence of God's sovereignty knowing that He is their best teacher.
The academics are just a means to build character and point us to Christ.
In our imperfection and weaknesses there will be gaps in their education; but in His providence He will fit together the academics and life experiences to shape them and mold them as He sees fit, to prepare them for the work He has ordained for them, to bring them to saving grace and to make them more like Jesus!
We can't orchestrate that but He can! That is where we put our faith, not in our abilities, not in lesson plans, not in all the checklists in the world. He is where we place our hope. Be faithful in your teaching, but find your confidence in His sovereignty and providence.
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).
