Makenna and her friend spent yesterday afternoon, and well into the evening, teaching themselves to draw dragons on the scraps of wood piled high in our garage. Being pleased with their results, they started the very first neighborhood Dragon Art Club because, as her friend so aptly stated, "we believe." The two put together an art show complete with signups for the club. Their membership drive yielded one new member. They were careful to point out the "no boys" rule before calling attention to the signup sheet, politely explaining that the club "is for when girls need to get away."
