Charlie thinks he is so clever. He has invented a few "tricks" to play on mom during the day. I try not to react so I don’t give him the satisfaction of getting to me, and thus the encouragement to keep it up. It seems encouragement is a secondary benefit to the act itself. Reaction or no, he KNOWS he’s getting to me! He has a lot of his father in him!
- While vacuuming he likes to stand on the cord and see how far I go before jerking to a stop. If he falls in the process, it’s apparently more entertaining.
- When I am changing the laundry from the washer to the dryer he likes to grab a miscellaneous piece of wet clothing from the dryer and run away with it. He greatly enjoys the chase that ensues. The same goes for silverware in the dishwasher (clean or dirty) while I'm loading/unloading.
- A pile of folded laundry is a challenge, as is the drawer of neatly folded dish towels beside the sink. How much of it can he grab and throw before I grab him?
Clearly he was put here to continue the commission of his Dad to torment me while Dad is away at work.
