In Which Kenna Organizes a Tripod Contest

It all started with a book I read (doesn't it always?). And then a discussion on Pythagoras in the car. Which lead to a discussion on prefixes--the prefix "tri" to be exact. Then we listed all the words we could that began with "tri" and landed on the word "tripod" which must have made an impression. The next day Makenna announced that there will be a tripod contest.And some of their creations.
Mine is the rag ball with sewing pin legs. Maya didn't finish hers--turns out what looks like short legs are actually two arms, she didn't have time to put on the other two legs.

We finished with voting and a little discussion of physics.

(The book I was reading was A Thomas Jefferson Education, which lead to me reading Mathematicians are People, Too which lead to the discussion on Pythagoras....)
