I'm working on my bread technique. Steve doesn't understand why I don't use the bread machine that I borrowed from his mom, but why do I do anything the hard way? Forget that machine. That machine goes against the entire idea behind making bread. Besides, with bread I can't resist the kneading process. This is a batch of french bread I got up early on Sunday to make that didn't rise. And it was so pretty. I knew I was supposed to check the yeast before using it, I guess next time I actually will.
