Makenna’s been saving her birthday and Christmas money since birth. She’s used a bit here and there for little things, but by and large has saved most of it. This summer she has outgrown her 22” bike and has been asking for a new one. So, getting tired of waiting on mom and dad, she decided to take matters into her own hand and to spend her money on a newer, larger model. It was quite a decision to choose just the right bike for just the right amount of money. But we think she made a good choice for her first big purchase. It’s been a joy to see her care for this bike in ways that she didn’t the other (you know, the one that mom and dad bought). She is sure to put it away when she is finished riding, she always uses the kickstand, and she was towel drying it yesterday when it got wet while she was riding in the rain. Thanks to all who have contributed to her fund over the years!
