Happy at Work

We're off to a good start this week. Steve's working days today and tomorrow so I'm on my own. We accomplished everything I was hoping. The girls are resisting me and the entire idea of work a little less than when we started. They've learned the schedule for the most part and move more easily from one activity to the next. They were actually working happily away at their various jobs and chores this morning. And when I dumped the clean laundry basket on the floor after lunch for us to fold and put away, no one threw themselves on the floor crying. Now, that's progress!

When I called the girls over to get started this morning. Well, here comes Charlie running behind. Everyone has a seat at the long table. The girls sit down and Charlie takes his place at my pant leg. It dawns on me that he's just doing what the group is doing. So I set up our small table and chair in an empty spot next to me. He takes his seat. So I give him a crayon and coloring book. He seems pleased with this. He makes a few marks, sits about 3 minutes (long enough for me to grab the camera) then is up and running again and later eats the crayon.
